The letter below is the final correspondence in regards to a business
opportunity I received by mail from a local guy named R.

R. didn't want to mention what the opportunity was in his query, but
I figured I could have some fun with this, so I wrote back asking
why couldn't he describe this money-making opportunity, implying
it was a scam.

He wrote back and said he wanted to discuss it either in person or by
phone. No problem. Only what he got was Scott Puckett from Sick To
Move
fanzine pretending to be me with a speech impediment that
sounded something like a deaf guy with a hairlip.

R. was hip to our prank call because Scott was occasionally choking
from trying not to laugh. We even taped the call and giggled as we
played it back. God, we are such dorks.

Below is R.'s follow up letter.

I never really figured out what the business opportunity was and
never really cared. I'm guessing it was probably something revolving
around fanzine publishing, which is about as profitable as panning
for gold down at the jetty in Mission Beach.

I've actually bumped in R. a couple of times at shows over the years
since our correspondence and he was a pretty nice guy.

He never brought up the phone calls and I completely forgot — until now.
